Long-Term Relationship

Feel good movie with a happy ending...
This is a feel good kind of movie, which isn't common in this genre. Sometimes you just want to watch a couple end up together and happy. The main characters are easy on the eye which makes watching a pleasure and they have good onscreen chemistry. The one has what's supposed to be a Southern-Atlanta-accent which isn't very good but he's so adorable I just ignored it. I'm a hetero female and love romance in all it's forms and this one I will absolutely watch again. The trials the characters go through are realistic and and it's nice to watch their relationship develop. All around a few hours well spent!

Favorite movie
This is the second time I've seen this movie. Unlike other gay movies this one is moving and touches into monogamy and how you really have to work hard at a relationship to achieve it.

Finally
Its about time a movie is made that ends happy! It not only shows us that 2 people in love can over come any obstacles, it shows that a same sex couples love is as strong as ANY other type of union. Hats off to the makers of this film.

As a child the story Song of the Cloud Forest had a particular resonance because I was worried about everything that was happening in the world at that time and the destruction of the rain forests struck me as a tragic lose. Jim Henson and his team of artists always knew which stories needed to be told to help children see the bigger picture and offered possibilities as to how we could make it a little better. I respect greatly that belief Henson's showed back then, they said what needed to be said, it was truthful and it was always empowering. Their artistry was always of the highest standard and their artistic innovation was at the works heart as well as it's artistic message to make a better world. Their work was always highly individual and it conveyed the beauty of life because they understood life and at the centre of it all was Jim Henson who really did carry the whole world on his shoulders at one point - this work is fine example of his love of television storytelling and it...

Perfect DVD for Earth Day
This is a very educational DVD, especially because it teaches children about what happens when our rainforests are destroyed and what happens to the creatures that reside in it. This is an ideal DVD for teachers to show in the classroom on or around Earth Day too.

In The Song of the Cloud Forest the puppets are enjoyable, except the funky monkey looking things. I was surprised that it was very unrealistic compared to other Jim Henson shows. The background was incredibly fake and the people were clearly blue screened on the background. The story was great - the quality of the presentation was poor.

Also included on the DVD is an episode of Animal Show. I LOVE THIS! The Animal Show features amazing puppets that are very true to life and more realistic. The characters are funny and the whole show is entertaining. You can really learn a lot from the Animal Show, even if you are adult and think you know it all.

Last Outlaw, The

SEE THIS MOVIE!!!!!
If you like Westerns even a little, then you will LOVE this film. I'm not a Mickey Rourke fan, but he's good here and the rest of the cast is absolutely outstanding- Steve Buscemi, Dermont Mulruney, etc.

I watch it over and over..it is that good
I bought this movie about 7 years ago and I still think it is one of the best westerns. Mickey Rourke is excellent (as usual) and so is the rest of the cast. I especially like the scenery and the way the movie shows us a dirty, dusty trail that makes it more enjoyable than watching a bunch of guys riding around the country in CLEAN clothes. That just is not as believeable since you cannot possibly stay clean in that environement.
It is somewhat violent but again that adds to the realism. I have the VHS tape and just bought a DVD to upgrade.

One of the best westerns made in the last 30 years
This movie easily stands beside others made in the last 30 years, it's on my shelf beside Silverado and Unforgiven. Mickey Rourke is awesome as a villain and most of us can see a little of ourselves in Dermot Mulroney. His quest for redemption can be lost in the incredible action, but you'll watch this movie again and again.

Jackpot [HD]

Fun adventure!
I've also fished there, and while some things might've been moved around timewise, absolutely nothing felt dramatized nor staged. I remember that storm day last season, and very few boats stayed in the water during that time period. Laughable to hear critical "experts" come out of the woodwork, because that usually means jealousy is too much to bare. And the comedy of reality tv being "fake"! Because everyone loves watching other people snore while they sleep.... I mean, that IS real, right? What more "reality" would someone like to see? lol The characters on these boats seem to pop, which is why they were obviously chosen to star in this well-put together show, they all fished hard and had great seasons, and showed what it takes to catch the fish you find on your plate. These folks are real, and so aren't the adventures. Looking forward to Season 2!

Informative, but inaccurate
I fish in upper cook inlet drift gillnetting during the summers, the season is much longer than 6 days, it starts the 20th of June and runs until the second week of august. It is informative about the type of fishing and I do remember these exact days from last season. Overall its a decent show.

Lame
The only cool thing about this show is seeing the fish hit the net in the later episodes. The rest is pure junk, over dramatized nonsense. I'm a fisherman from the same area and when I saw the Discovery channel filming this, I figured it would result in pure embarrassment for our fishery. I wasn't too far off. You can see that they have all the days mixed up, the weather would change in every scene, the good sets were repeatedly shown (one time a set was shown to have been made the vessel Night's Edge, another time same set was shown to have been made by the vessel Paragon). HAHAHA! THEN again, we all know there is very little reality in reality shows. Lol

Typical Vintage ICarly, but no HD/Full Screen Hurts
Since reviewing the last episodes last year, I have upgraded to an HD TV. However Nick has stuck their same TV quality. On an HD TV, part of the picture remains black with the pic in the middle. Not so hot.

iCarly rocks
iCarly is my favorite Nick show right now. It's the funniest Nick show I've ever watched and it's ad that it's coming to an end, but I understand since the cast is getting older now and wants to pursue other interests in film, television and music. Season 2 Volume 2 is my favorite iCarly DVD that has been released because it has some of my fave episodes on it. If you luv iCarly, get it.

ICarly is So Fun
ICarly is a great show. My son loves to watch it, and I find myself watching it too. Its really fun and we love that its based on our home town.

An Island Legacy Edge Closer

brilliant film
I am a huge fan of the Isle of Man TT, and last visited two years ago. Now although the entertainment does not change, you do see the best of the Island coming to life within these two weeks. This film I thought was good, not the best I have seen, but then again, once you have seen the entertainment it does not change from year to year.
I disagree with the previous review. Listen, the TT entertainment is brilliantly shown in this film. You'll enjoy it!

Not worth ones time unless you want to watch something amateurish...
I am a huge Isle of Man TT fan and I am always interested in anything written or produced for movie or television. I was eager to view this documentary, but within 5 minutes of watching it I knew I was going to be disappointed. I usually don't take the time to review movies, but this one is just awful and I want to warn people not to waste their time. The documentary is basically a collection of events going on during the 2 weeks of the Isle of Man TT, it has very little content or information. It looks as though someone from a Junior High video club produced and directed this. It is one of the worst produced pieces of film I have ever seen, it's monotonous, it drones on with painfully long and unspectacular footage of basically circus clowns doing silly tricks. One scene in particular shows a guy driving a motor cycle with a jet engine going up and down back and forth for maybe 10 minutes straight doing nothing but going up and down the short track with no commentary or information,...
