Bio marred by voice sync problems
I was wondering if this movie would be everything I remembered it to be; A very brave performance by a then unknown Michael Chiklis, from a very "interesting" adaptation of the Bob Woodward novel. The critics(not to mention Belushi's widow) as I remember were unkind to this movie, and for me, time has been unkind to the film. Maybe it's because so many other superior bio-pics have been made since; "Walk the line", "Ray" e.g. "Wired by comparison comes off as an overtly sentimental "Lifetime" Movie of the week. Chiklis' performance cannot be faulted and was worth the revisit.
As a Technical aside:
The streaming experience was marred by synching problems. I expected the music lip synching to be off ,but even the dialogue parts were off by a few seconds. I found this to be the case on more than one device. I'm hoping to be able to RE-download for free and try again.

"Wired" is a bizarre movie in many respects. It's based on the book of the same name by Bob Woodward ("All The President's Men") but instead of adapting the events in the book straight, the writers of the movie decided to tell it in a sort of disjointed, amusing (albeit misguided) humorous flashback format that features the ghost of John Belushi going on an odyssey with his guardian angel, looking back at the events of his life that lead to his untimely death.
Michael Chiklis makes his film debut, here and for this role he's not just playing John Belushi, he IS John Belushi. From what I understand, over a hundred actors were auditioned for the coveted role of the comedic icon and Chiklis came out on top, gained thirty pounds for the role and wore contact lenses to match John's eye color. He nails all of Belushi's mannerisms and does a spot on impression of his voice. It's an amazing performance, but unfortunately, the movie IS flawed.

I have been looking for this movie for a while. Glad to find it, but the quality was poor. It looked like someone recorded it in a movie theater with a camera. The sound was off from the sync and the picture was grainy. Was better on VHS.
